Eastside Prep opened its doors in 2003 with 16 students and 4 classrooms. Now the school serves close to 200 students in grades 5-12 and has expanded its campus to include 8 buildings, multiple outdoor play and eating areas, and an outdoor sport court.
The average class size is 14 students, and the maximum in any class is 18. With a student:teacher ratio of 7:1, Eastside Prep provides a personalized education where students engage closely with a passionate faculty.
At Eastside Prep, students are known and valued, with an advisor system that keeps students and families in close contact with their teachers and the school. The traditional disciplines of learning are combined with an integrated curriculum and a hands-on approach that encourages students to engage deeply with the material. Students choose many of their own classes, especially at the Upper School level, and individualized schedules allow students with advanced skills in math and Spanish to take classes with older grades.
Eastside Prep is proud to host a diversity of students in an accepting environment that challenges each individual at their own level. We are looking for students who are intellectually curious and willing to challenge themselves. Students should be able to take advantage of a full academic program and be reading, writing, and doing mathematics at or above grade level. A caring network of teachers and an auxillary staff in learning services and counseling is here to help those who need it.
